The newest festival to hit the Cumbrian music scene has announced a timetable of buses as demand for tickets soar.

Organisers behind Pitch Up Festival, which will be held at The Dunes Hotel Stadium in Barrow on Saturday May 21 are putting on buses for festival goers travelling from afar.

All roads lead to Barrow says Joe Jackson one of the festival’s organisers.

He said: “Following such great support from people from all around Cumbria and Lancashire, we have decided to team up with two local coach firms to put on transport to and from the festival site.

“This for us just reiterates that all roads lead to Barrow on May 21. We are promising a high energy party, the like of which Barrow has never seen.

“We want to bring in all the best local artists alongside international names to bring plenty of attention to the area. Barrow and the surrounding areas deserve this boost, particularly after the last couple of years.”

The festival’s line-up includes chart topping and award-winning DJ and rapper Tom Zanetti, social media sensations Bad Boy Chiller Crew known for their high energy sets, and Kendal’s LOWES, voted BBC Radio 1’s Dance Vocalist of 2021.

There will also be a set from rising stars such as Wallis and The Silver Bars and town favourites Mad 4 It, one of the best Oasis tribute acts in the UK.

With great popularity for the festival coming from West Cumbria and Lancaster, organisers have put on the following two routes, with exact times to be confirmed:

Route 1: Workington, Whitehaven, Egremont and Broughton

Route 2: Lancaster, Levens and Newby Bridge

Organisers say the festival will be centred around great music, food, and a vibrant festival atmosphere; but will also put something great back into the community.

“We are passionate about giving back and that’s why we will also be giving a cut of the profits from the festival to St Mary’s Hospice, which has helped all of our families in some way, and to alike, a community for people with cancer,” added Joe.

Festival-goers can buy bus passes online, and will then be notified via email of confirmed itineraries, and information and will be sent. Passes are available from eventim.co.uk
