Come along to fundraiser to support Maryport lifeboat

People are being encouraged to come along to a fundraising event to help keep Maryport’s lifeboat service afloat.

Maryport Rescue, a totally independent lifeboat, search & rescue and flood team, along with Maryport Yachting Association are holding a fun day on Maryport Marina on July 16.

The event will promote the lifesaving service while also helping to raise vital funds.

There will be various stalls available on the day, with boats taking to the water at about 12pm.

The fun day will take place between 10am and 4pm and will also include:

  • Raffle;
  • Tombola;
  • Cakes stall;
  • Artisan cheeses;
  • Candles;
  • Crafters;
  • Fudge stall;
  • Face painting;
  • Fair;
  • Bouncy castles;
  • Ice cream van;
  • Face painting;
  • BBQ;
  • Coffee van;
  • Maryport Aquarium touch pool;
  • Fresh fish direct from fishing boats;
  • Emergency services;
  • Lifeboats display in the harbour along with Maryport Yachting association;
  • Water games in the marina
  • Local schools singing sea shanties;
  • And more.
