Barrow Raiders welcome back Jarrod Sammut for their trip to Dewsbury Rams tomorrow in the Betfred Championship.

Sammut missed last week’s clash with a former club, Workington Town, because he was on international duty for Malta.

After contributing 30 points from nine goals and three tries in a convincing 66-6 win over Montenegro the mercurial half-back now has the Rams in his sight.

Also back in the squad is Gary Wheeler who missed the 26-12 win over Town through

Raiders are sitting in sixth place in the Betfred Championship and travel to Yorkshire to take on a side who are third bottom with two wins so far and desperate to move out of relegation trouble.

Coach Paul Crarey said: “We will be playing on a smaller pitch against a side who have big, powerful forwards so our approach will be a bit different to last week.”

A win for Barrow would also serve as a boost for bottom-of-the-table Workington who need to keep Dewsbury within striking distance as the Rams still have to visit Derwent Park.

The Barrow squad is: Brooks, B. Carter, J. Carter, Crellin, Cresswell, Emslie, Eseh, Forster, Gillam, Hopkins, Iaria, Johnston, Morrow, Mossop, Ritson, Sammut, Stack, D. Toal, S. Toal, Wheeler, Wood.

Dewsbury’s 21 are: Beckett, Beharrel, Blackmore, Butterworth, Dixon, Gabriel, Greensmith, Kibula, Kidd, Knowles, McGowan, Peltier, Ryder, Schofield, Smith, Speakman, Stevens, Sweeting, Sykes, Tomlinson, Trout.
