Workington Reds have added a second new face to the squad after announcing centre-forward Lewis Reilly last night.
They have recruited midfielder Greg McCarragher who finished last season with Penrith in the Northern League and previously had NPL West experience at Kendal and Widnes.
Manager Danny Grainger said: “I watched Greg a couple of times last season while playing for Penrith and he really impressed me.
“He is a very good technical player who will be suited to our style of play and I’m more than confident he will have a big impact next season.”
Lancaster-based McCarragher said: “I’m really excited to get going. Having spoken to the gaffer it was an easy decision to sign for the club.
“The fan base is great and with the quality of the squad I’m confident we can go one step further than last season. Can’t wait for pre-season to start.”
McCarragher had actually started his career with Fleetwood Town and was well thought of as a centre half in the club’s Under-18’s.
Grainger is hoping to get as much of his squad strengthening done as early as possible before the return to training in a fortnight.
