Keswick Hockey Club has been hosting a summer league on a Wednesday night for all club members aged 10 and over.

It has involved mums, dads, friends and really anybody who fancied a game of hockey.

Teams have been divided up into a mix of juniors, team players and seniors so everyone is able to enjoy a good run-around and have the opportunity to meet new faces.

Even when the weather hasn’t been pleasant there have been excellent turn-outs and there have even been opportunities for participants to take a turn at umpiring.

Ladies captain Rachel Armstrong and Rosie Andrews have been key to the success of the venture, backed up by men’s second team captain Paul Sloan with members of his side. First team players have also been in attendance.

The men’s third team has been well represented with lots of members of the development sides.

The games are played with teams of six and the League runs until June 22, however anyone wishing to join in before the end is more than welcome.
