Changes to Whitehaven squad for Halifax Panthers clash

Jonty Gorley (Ben Challis)

Whitehaven coach Jonty Gorley has made two changes to his squad for this weekend’s home game with Halifax Panthers.

Jake Moore and Connor Holliday, who weren’t in the 21 for last week’s trip to Dewsbury, return and replace Guy Graham and Kieran Hudson.

Gorley was pleased with how his side responded at Dewsbury, turning a half-time deficit into a vital victory.

“It was typical of our season. When we do things right we are effective but too many times in the first-half we were unable to complete our sets.

“I’ve said from the word go that when we go set for set with sides, and stay disciplined, we can match most of the sides in this League.

“It’s about getting consistency out of the group. At times I’m like a broken record because when we are disappointing it’s the same old things I have to go on about,” said the coach.

His squad is: Aiye, Bradley, Bulman, Cooper, Dawson, Dixon, Eccleston, Evans, Holliday, Hookem, King, Litten, McAvoy, Moore, Olstrom, Robb, Singleton, M. Walker, T. Walker, Wilkinson, Williams.
