Pop star Paloma Faith has announced her support acts for a concert in Cumbria.

Lucy Spraggan, Zak Abel and Hermitage Green will be joining her this summer on ‘The Age of Optimism’ tour in Bitts Park, Carlisle, on July 23.

Lucy Spraggan first began her career performing on the X Factor where she was first contestant in the show’s history to score a Top 40 single and album before the live shows aired.

Accumulating nearly 40 million streams on Spotify across Lucy’s catalogue and over 121k followers with 540k monthly listeners, Lucy has released seven albums with four in the top 15 album charts with her last album in 2021 ‘Choices’ debuting at number five in the UK Charts, her highest position to date.

Lucy will also be joined by British singer/songwriter Zak Abel, who will be bringing his own music blends of soulful vocals with R&B and pop.

Having first risen to fame after supplying guest vocals on Gorgon City’s UK Top 20 hit single ‘Unmissable’, Zak started creating his own songs as a 14-year-old and uploading videos of his work to YouTube.

In 2021 Zak Released “Be Kind” which made it into the AirPlay Charts in various European countries as well as reaching a Top 30 HOT AC in the US.

Alongside music, Zak is also an ambassador for mental health charity CALM and speaks openly about issues surrounding this topic as well as channelling themes of identity and mental struggle into his lyrics.

Five- piece band Hermitage Green is made up of Darragh Graham, Darragh Griffin, Dan Murphy, Barry Murphy, and Dermot Sheedy will be kicking off the shows this summer.

Hermitage Green have enjoyed success with sold out shows across the globe performing in the Middle East, Australia, North America, United Kingdom, and Ireland. Fans will be entertained with their epic performance and irresistible stage presence.

Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE, chief executive of organisers Grandslam Live, said: “I am thrilled that we are able to announce an incredibly talented line up who will be joining Paloma Faith for her ‘The Age of Optimism’ tour this summer. The shows are going to be amazing, and fans are in for a real treat.”
