Cockermouth staged a series of Masters Hockey games with an international and Cumbrian flavour.
Three England teams, two Scottish teams, and The Border Reivers, made up from clubs from Cumbria and the North East (over 60s) took part.
The England LX over 70s took on the Scottish Thistles over 70s with the England side winning the opening game 4-0.
The second Game saw England LX over 65s against The Scottish Thistles over 65s, and once more it finished 4-0 to England.
The third game saw England LX over 60s v The Border Reivers, and again England came out on top but by 2-0. This game was cut short due to the time required to attend to a couple of head injuries.
However both players were able to walk from the field, although they had to go to the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven for treatment.
