Workington Reds have arranged their final friendly ahead of the opening NPL West game.
Reds will travel to the North East on Saturday, August 6 to take on Marske United.
The season proper starts the following Saturday (August 13) and the League fixtures are expected to be announced by mid-July.
The August 6 date is set aside for clubs playing in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup but Reds and Marske don’t come in until a fortnight later in the preliminary round.
Meanwhile Workington boss Danny Grainger is hoping the injuries which the squad have already picked up will have been sorted by the time the season proper gets underway.
New signing Greg McCarragher was at Borough Park on Saturday for the game with Blackburn, wearing a protective boot on the foot he damaged at training last weekend.
He expects to be out of action for about four weeks, but ready for the kick-off on August 13.
Ruben Jerome has an issue with his back but should be ready to resume against Carlisle United on Saturday.
Sam Smith and Steven Rigg have also been absentees over the two friendlies so far, while Dav Symington was unavailable yesterday.
Grainger said: “I thought the trialists and the young development players did well against a capable, organised Blackburn side. I will be looking at the trialists again and won’t be rushing into anything just yet,
“They will get opportunities in our net two friendly games against Dumbarton and Carlisle.”
