The A6 has reopened following a serious collision.
Emergency services were called to the incident, which involved a car and a motorbike on Milnthorpe Road in Kendal, at around 12.10pm.
The road was closed in both directions while emergency services are at the scene.
Police said congestion was expected to continue in the area and surrounding areas and drivers were asked to plan their routes accordingly.
