Wath Brow Under-13s

Wath Brow clinched the West Cumbria Under-13s league title last night with a 28-10 win at Cockermouth.

They managed to overturn a big and strong Cockermouth team, which never gave in throughout the game and played some good rugby.

Eventually, though. it was the Brow who took the spoils with a confident and determined performance.

The six Wath Brow tries were scored by Logan Carson (2), Evan Sherwen (2), Henley Davidson and Tom Banner. Billy Joe Towers landed two conversions.

This particular group of young Hornets had originally not planned to compete in the competition prior to the season starting, but it has proved beneficial to them all.

Under the guidance of head coach Garry Todd and assisted by Graham Mattinson, the team has done nothing but improve throughout the season.

The Wath Brow squad was: Joseph Pringle, Alex Powe, Brady Todd, Casson Chadwick, Olson Sharp, Conrad Dockwray, Danny Riley, Deen Pattinson, Jack Baker, James Stamper, Keaton Lee, Zach Green. Logan Carson, Evan Sherwen, Henley Davidson, Tom Banner and Billy Joe Towers.
