In actual fact Penrith host Workington in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, July 19.
Edmondson is also a former Barrow manager and he welcomes the Bluebirds to Southfield tomorrow afternoon for a pre-season warm-up clash. Penrith lost 5-1 to Carlisle last Friday in their opening friendly.

If they can get through that they will have a home draw in the preliminary round to the winners of Goole or Consett.
Kendal Town, now operating in the North West Counties League were also out of luck, facing a trip to Thornaby in the extra preliminary round. If they win that one they must travel again to the winners of Guisborough Town and Bishop Auckland.
