Wath Brow Hornets’ Under-13s league and top four champions are celebrating after a very successful season.
The curtain drew down on the 2022 season when the young Hornets picked up the top four final trophy.
This wasn’t the first time that these youngsters had tasted success this season, as the vast majority of them also play in the 14s league.
Only a few weeks ago they defeated Hensingham to lift the Under-14s Cumbria BARLA county cup. Hensingham were bigger and stronger but Wath Brow played the better rugby.
Prior to the top four final the team was presented with a brand new playing kit that they will play in for the 2023 season.

It was sponsored by Stamper Lloyd Bathrooms and Kitchens of Whitehaven, and the team was also presented prior to the game with new training jackets by long-time club sponsor Future Private Hire Cabs.
A Wath Brow spokesman said: “The club would like to thank both sponsors for their support and look forward to having a successful relationship together.”
