Barrow scored another 3-2 victory – this time against Bradford City – to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
But this one was even more dramatic than the one they claimed on the opening day at Stockport.
When Josh Kay made it 2-1 five minutes from time it looked as though Barrow were going to see it through.
But in the fifth minute of stoppage time former Barrow striker Andy Cook was on hand to slot home after Paul Farman had been unable to hold a shot from Jake Young.
Incredibly Barrow responded and in the sixth minute of time added on Josh Gordon fired home the dramatic winner.
The first-half had been pretty uneventful and came to life after Barrow took the lead on 63 minutes. Recent signing Ben Whitfield fired home from the edge of the D.
Two minutes later Bradford City were level when Cook combined with Ryan East to set-up Young and he scored with a fierce shot which struck the underside of the bar and dropped over the line.
It stayed that way in a contest that suddenly became end-to-end and Kay stabbed home a Whitfield corner to spark the eventful stoppage time drama.
Barrow boss Pete Wild said: “The one thing I will say is that this group have a never-say-die attitude and that got us through to the three points.
“Bradford have some very good players at this level and I had said to the lads beforehand we needed to stay in the game until 60 to 65 minutes and we’d be in with a chance.
“In the end we had to win it twice but nobody is getting carried away. It is a cliché but we will continue to take just one game at a time and next up is a Cup game at Blackpool on Tuesday.”
One player who will miss that is defender George Ray who had to be replaced on 15 minutes. He took a knock on his calf but as he went down he twisted his ankle.
