
Cumbria are not quite ready to concentrate on their NCCA Trophy final with Berkshire at the end of the month.
There’s the little matter of the final NCCA Championship game at home to Hertfordshire which starts on Sunday.
Skipper Michael Slack is still recovering from a broken toe so Cockermouth’s Matthew Sempill continues to captain the side in his absence.
Slack will be hoping to be fit enough to get in a club game before being available for the final on August 27.
Cumbria show four changes from the side which beat Oxfordshire by four wickets to reach their third successive final – and come up against the side which has beaten them twice previously, Berkshire.
Evan Williams, Ben Davidson, wicket keeper Drew Postlethwaite and Sam Medhurst come in for JJ Fielding, Marcus Stables, Finley Richardson and Liam Grey.
Cumbria lie third of five in Eastern Division Two and opponents Hertfordshire are a place below, four points worse off but from a game less.
Bottom side Northumberland start their Championship game with Buckinghamshire at Jesmond on Sunday.
The title decider is likely to be at Tring, starting on August 21 between Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire with the hosts looking strong favourites.
