A man has been arrested after two women were touched in Carlisle.
The incident happened at around 7.55pm yesterday at Holme Head Bay, Denton Holme.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of touching two females. He remains in custody.
Police confirmed the incident was not connected to a separate incident earlier in the week in this area of the city.
A police spokesman added: “Officers are also aware of social media messages being circulated in connection to this and would ask people not to comment or circulate these to protect the integrity of the legal process.”
