A man who got stuck in the mud in Workington was rescued by firefighters.
Three crews were called at around 4.55pm yesterday to Derwent Quay.
Four swift water trained fire service personnel used a rescue sled, airpath and sandland to transport the casualty to a hard-standing surface.
The man was left in the care of the North West Ambulance Service. Fire crews were on the scene for 45 minutes.
