Wath Brow Hornets ended the regular National Conference Premier Division season with a 10-10 home draw against Hunslet club Parkside.
Thatto Heath’s 38-24 win at Rochdale Mayfield means that they finished fourth in the table, one place better than the Hornets, so will entertain the Cumbrians on Saturday in the play-off elimination semi-final.
Wath Brow had trailed 10-0 at half-time against the Premier Division runners-up with a try from Sam Curwen their only score in those opening 40 minutes.
Always a tight contest it went right through to the 70th minute when Cole Walker-Taylor scored the Brow’s second try which he converted for a share of the points.
Lock Lane entertain Siddal in the other elimination semi-final – third versus sixth in an all-Yorkshire affair.

Siddal had completed their League campaign in west Cumbnria where they beat Egremont 46-18 as their hosts said goodbye to the Premier Division.
The Rangers had been 28-12 behind at half-time and eventually signed-off with tries from Kris Tyson, Dawson Webster and Toby Corrie. Tyson landed three goals.
Egremont will be replaced in the top flight by Kells who were conformed as Division One champions when Hull Dockers lost 26-22 at Wigan St. Patrick’s, But it was close as St. Pat’s snatched the win with an unconverted try four minutes from the end. A point would have been enough for the Dockers to pip Kells to the title.

Barrow Island won their final Division Two game at Wigan St. Jude’s 36-12 to make certain of finishing third and clinching home advantage in the promotion semi-final against Woolston Rovers on Saturday.
It completed a double over the Wigan club and they were able to build successfully on a 30-6 half-time lead.
Adam Jackson, Nathan Neasby, Adam Ford and Dan Wright scored the first-half trieds for the Islanders with Jackson converting two.
Jackson, Max Anderson-Moore and Sam Jones scored second-half tries with a conversion apiece for Jackson and Anderson-Moore.
Millom ended their season in dismal fashion, beaten 92-8 at East Leeds – a result which confirmed their hosts as Division Three champions.
Trailing 44-0 at half-time Millom recorded two early tries in the second half through Niall Harris and Jude Lupton.
Neither Seaton Rangers or Hensingham played on the final day. Seaton’s scheduled visitors Batley Boys had pulled-out of the League a few weeks ago while Hensingham’s game with Drighlington was called off because the Yorkshire club couldn’t raise a team.
However, the manufactured 23-15 win for Seaton means they will finish in fourth place and on Saturday will entertain fifth-placed Shaw Cross Sharks in the promotion semi-final. Oldham St. Anne’s host Bentley in the other.
Hensingham finished next to bottom and must now apply for re-election.
