Kells won through to the final of the West Cumbria Youth League’s Under-12s Top Four play-offs.
After a 46-0 win over Cockermouth it sets up a showdown with Maryport in an eagerly anticipated final.
Kells had started on the front foot with an early try by Rhys Williamson and that was quickly doubled five minutes later with a second from Oliver Woodend which Williamson converted.
Two more tries in the space of three minutes just before half-time gave Kells a 22-0 lead at the break. Archie Robinson and Williamson went over and both were converted by Williamson.
Two minutes into the second-half and any thoughts of a Cockermouth recovery were dispelled when Harry Vaughan crossed for a fifth Kells try, again converted by the accurate boot of Williamson.
Five minutes later Vaughan scored his second try, converted by Williamson and there was going to be no way back for Cockermouth.
Five minutes from time Williamson completed his hat-trick, adding the conversion and just before the final whistle Ashton Hetherington also crossed and this time Woodend put over the conversion.
