Cornish Bakery is the latest store to open a branch in Caledonia Park.

The shopping village, formerly known as Gretna Gateway, will welcome the firm’s first standalone store in Scotland this month.

Cornish Bakery, one of the fastest growing bakery brands in the UK is set to open a 2,500sq ft coffee shop.

Steve Grocutt, founder of Cornish Bakery, said: “Caledonia Park is the perfect location to launch our distinctive brand in Scotland, proving my mantra that bakery is the new coffee shop. We are continually looking to increase our estate as one of the fastest growing, independent bakery brands in the UK, and we are looking forward to making our mark in Caledonia Park alongside an impressively strong retail line-up.”

Caledonia Park has recently welcomed Lindt, the Swiss chocolatier and confectionary company. It is one of only four locations in the UK to incorporate the brand’s ice cream parlour, the pioneering chocolate brand also stocks a range of gifts and in July, Kate Spade New York’s first outlet store opened.

Scott Wells, centre director at Caledonia Park, said: “We’ve experienced a wave of retail firsts over the last few months such as Kate Spade New York and Animal, and we are now doing the same with our culinary line-up. We are pleased to see Cornish Bakery choosing Caledonia Park to launch their Scottish debut site, offering our shoppers even more choice of delicious food when they visit.”
