Carlisle City boss Jim Nichols was happy enough with a point from his side’s 1-1 Northern League draw at Whickham.
City had gone into the game with seven players missing through injury, while Jordan Holt had to come off with an injury during the game.
To add to Nichols’ problems some of his substitutes were not 100% fit and were just helping out.
He said: “All things considered it was a decent point because they were quite useful and there was a very strong wind which made it a game of two halves.
“We thought we had done well against the wind to keep it at 0-0 for the first-half but they went and scored in the first minute of the second half.
“However, there’s a lot of character in the side and we kept at it and I thought we deserved our equaliser ten minutes from the end.
“We had hit the woodwork twice previously but this time Sam Atkinson’s effort found the back of the net.
“With our injuries we would have taken a point before the game so we weren’t complaining.
“There’s no mid-week game for us so I’m just hoping that at least a couple of our injured players will be back for Saturday.”
City entertain Tow Low on Saturday with the Cumbrians 11th in the table, three places and three points ahead of their visitors.
