Kendal Town will be aiming to put their FA Vase exit behind them when they host Winsford in the North West Counties League tonight.
The Mintcakes lost 4-3 at Parkside Road to Longridge Town in a game that had everything – for the neutral.
Chairman Michael O’Neill said: “The stadium atmosphere was great with a decent crowd, families enjoying the game and two teams giving everything.
“It was what we envisage Parkside Road being like and what we can achieve if we are successful.
“That was a setback after three wins and it’s consistency we need to work on to move up the table.
“We had opportunities to win it but Longridge had other chances too, It was that sort of game. It’s important, though, to beat teams like Winsford as they are around us in the League. We won our last home League game so we will be looking to follow up.”
Winsford are a point behind Kendal at the moment but from having played a game more than the Cumbrians.
They go into the clash at Parkside Road on the back of a good 1-1 home draw against third-in-the-table AFC Liverpool.
