Penrith produced their best performance of the season to beat Tow Law 4-0 at Frenchfield.
It stretched the Bonny Blues unbeaten run to three games, during which they have not conceded a goal.
Manager Darren Edmondson said: “It was certainly our best result of the season and probably our best performance, because we have been showing similar form in recent matches.
“We made an excellent start but conceded a penalty and it needed a good save by Arran Taylor to keep us level.”
That came after only four minutes and by half-time Penrith had gone in front through Alfie Brunskill (28).
Recent recruit Josh Crews added a second after 57 minutes and Penrith scored two more in the last ten minutes through DJ Taylor and Hayden Tait.
“We are looking more secure at the back now, as three successive clean sheets illustrate and we also carried a threat up front.
“I was pleased Josh got a goal. He’s a lad I know from Chester-le-Street and got him over and he’s settled in well.
“We are getting lads back from injuries, which has been a big help but we have a couple of suspensions coming up which we will have to deal with.
“I also like the phrase starters and finishers which is used in rugby. I try to drum in to them that it’s not about the 11 who start but about the others on the bench and the substitutes made a difference in this one,” said Edmondson.
