Windscale will welcome the chance to get in some football against Workington Reds.
Their last two Wearside League games have been washed out and so too was last Tuesday’s scheduled trip to Borough Park.
Because that was called off for a second time Windscale could claim home advantage when the tie was eventually played.
So weather permitting it should be third time lucky on Wednesday night at the Falcon Complex, Egremont.
Windscale have also had some good news in that their record 14-0 score against Durham City will now count.
It looked to be destined for the dustbin after City resigned from the Leagiue and their dismal playing record was to be expunged.
But a new set-up at the top of the club has got them playing again and they were accepted back into the league so their results will stand.
Meanwhile Reds expect to introduce a new player into the squad to play the Atoms.
A player who has been training with the squad for a fortnight has been signed and the club will reveal his identity ahead of the game.
Manager Danny Grainger is likely to use a number of development players as several members of his first team quad are nursing knocks.
