Funeral arrangements have been published for popular Cumberland FA chairman Fred Conway, who died suddenly earlier this month.
Fred died on November 13, aged 59.
The service will be held at St Mary and St Michael’s Church, Egremont on Thursday, December 1 at 12.30pm followed by interment in Egremont Cemetery. Family flowers only by request.
Any donations are for the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.
Before the weekend, matches around the county at all levels teams and officials joined in a round of applause.
The Cumberland FA have already announced that their main competition will be known as the Fred Conway County Cup starting immediately.
Two games are due to be played tonight in the second round – Carlisle City v Maryport Athletic and Windscale v Workington Reds.
