Penrith and Holker Old Boys played their latest friendlies yesterday and both hit seven goals against lower League opposition.
It was 7-1 for Penrith against Westmorland League side Kirkoswald, while Holker Old Boys beat Millom 7-0.
Connor Hammell led the way for Penrith with a hat-trick and he was joined on the sheet by Luke Brown (2), Jordan Palmer and Matty Williamson.
Millom, from thew West Lancashire League, hosted Holker but after an even start it was the North West Counties Division One North side who pulled away. They led 3-0 at half-time and scored four more in the second-half.
Brandon Collins, who has been a stand-out performer for Holker in pre-season, scored another hat-trick with the other goals coming from Tyler Spence (2), Tommy Dawson and Reece Cresswell.

Kendal Town were also in action at home to Gretna and it finished 1-1 after Greg McCarragher, a former Gretna player, had given the Mintcakes a first half lead.
Finley Kennedy levelled for the Scots just before the break and there was no further goals in the second-half.
Kendal had gone into the game learning that regular keeper Chris Cheetham was leaving the club, citing family reasons. He had been with the club for three years and manager Matty Flynn now has to look for a replacement.
