Cleator Moor Celtic slipped to a 3-1 home defeat against Darwen in the North West Counties League.
Weather conditions, with a strong wind, dictated it was a game of two halves – and Darwen handled things better than their hosts.
Wind assisted Darwen were three-up by half-time with goals from Rio=Wilson-Heyes (2) and Anthony :Lynch.
The second half was a much better performance with Leon Dmytrowski pulling one back on 76 minutes and Celtic knocking on the door throughout.
Celtic manager Brian Dawson said: “They managed the game well in slowing things down, something our young lads have to learn from.”
Next to bottom Celtic have another home game next Saturday when they entertain FC St. Helens.
