A Lake District guest house, which was on the market for £165,000, has been sold.
Bay House in Bowness was sold through Colliers. The guest house, on Fallbarrow Road has been sold on lease.
Built of traditional Lakeland stone in the 1860s, it was historically known as Crown Villas and is opposite Windermere and The Royal Windermere Yacht Club.
The six-bedroom guest house was last acquired by Maxine and Graham Jones in 2013 and during their ownership they have significantly upgraded the property. They are now retiring from the hospitality industry to live closer to family.
The property has been bought by Jill and Philip Dwyer from Bolton in Lancashire who has plans to transform a room currently used for storage into a bedroom, so that all six rooms are now available for guest use.

Prior to this, Jill was a lead secretary in a hospital and Philip was in the textile industry, so they are thrilled to now be able to work together.
