A semi-professional choir will bring Christmas cheer to Workington this weekend with a carol concert in a town church.
Adamas Voces will perform at Our Lady & St Michael’s Church on Sunday from 3pm.
The choir’s director of music is Vaughan Richardson, who grew up in Whitehaven, played the organ in Kells and Workington, sang in Carlisle Cathedral and lived in Distington.
Now a prominent countertenor, he lives in Wales and is a dispatcher for the Welsh Ambulance Service.
The carol concert will raise funds for the church, on Banklands.
Tickets are available by calling the parish office on 01900 602114.
