Firefighters spent over 11 hours tackling a waste blaze near Carlisle
Crews were called at 10.15pm on December 29 to Monkcastle, near Southwaite.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service sent three fire engines, a water bowser, the welfare unit and aerial appliance to the scene and were still at the site yesterday.
