Workington Town have announced their squad numbers for the 2023 League One season.

Coach Anthony Murray has 24 players to work with at the moment but that may increase before the season gets underway.

Decisions still have to be made on trialists who have been taking part in pre-season training.

Three new recruits and two returning faces have been named in the first 13.

Ex Kells and Whitehaven full-back Jordan Burns takes one; Australian recruit Sean Sabutey is two and the experienced Earl Hurst is three.

Centre Jason Mossop wears four and Tom Curwen is handed number 13 as both former players return to Derwent Park.

Former Seaton prop Grant Reid will wear 25 in his first season as a pro.

Intriguingly there’s no number 23 been handed out at the moment.
