Cumberland ARL champions Distington have been handed two potential home draws in the Betfred Challenge Cup.
In the first round on the week-end of February 11/12 Distington have been drawn at home to Orrell St. James of the North West Men’s League.
If they are successful in that tie Distington will then entertain the winners of Hammersmith Hills Hoists or Dublin a fortnight later.
Barrow Island from the National Conference Second Division face a long trek in the first round to Portsmouth as they have been drawn away to the Royal Navy.
Workington Town make their first appearance in the competition at the second round stage when they will play hosts to either Wigan St. Patrick’s or Ince Rose Bridge.
Wath Brow Hornets of the National Conference Premier Division also come in at the second round stage and face a long trip to either Brentwood or Bedford.
Whitehaven and Barrow of the Championship will enter the competition at the third round stage.
