Kendal Town Ladies are making a concerted effort to recruit more players to their current squad.
They are competing for the first time this season in the Lancashire Women’s Division One North West League.
Although they have won one and drawn two of their first seven fixtures and lie sixth in the table, it’s been a difficult start.
The majority of the squad are playing senior football for the first time having previously played junior football with Wattsfield before joining Kendal Town.
There has been some stiff opposition from established opposition in the League – Lancaster City, Whitehaven, Cadley, Chipping, St. Anne’s, Sir Tom Finney Women’s Development and Blackpool Town.
Chris Miller manages the side who train every Wednesday night at Kendal Town’s Parkside Road (J. Rob’s Ground Maintenance Stadium) and League matches are played on Sundays.
Miller said: “Kendal Town are keen to further develop and grow the ladies team as they look to establish themselves in the League.”
Any girls or ladies over the age of 16 who are interested can contact Chris on 07525733688 or email him on [email protected].
