Kendal have re-signed defender Jacob Davis but he won’t be ready to resume playing for about a month.
Davis has been recovering from an ACL injury and although back in training with the Parkside Road club is not expected to be ready to resume until the end of February.
But two recent acquisitions Elliot Wilson and Obua Mugalala who played at Prestwick Heys in mid-well will feature in today’s Westmorland County Cup-tie at home to Appleby.
Wilson started in the 1-1 draw while Mugalula, on dual registration from Workington, featured from the bench for the last 18 minutes.
Manager Jimmy Marshall has picked a strong side, although will be without Steve Yawson, a contracted player who is not able to play in the County Cup.
Chairman Michael O’Neill said: “We are also missing Brandon Croskell-Robinson, a Kendal lad who is likely to be out for another three weeks.
“He has been superb for us this season and we didn’t realise how important he is to the quad until he missed out with injury.
“Darren Nightingale is taking time out of the game at the moment through family and work commitments but we hope he will be back with us soon.”
After today’s County clash with Appleby, Kendal are involved in more Cup action on Tuesday when they travel to New Mills in the Macron Cup.
