People in Cumbria will be able to take advantage of offers on the Too Good to Go platform as a supermarket chain rolls out magic bags in the county.
Too Good to Go offers people the chance to pick up magic bags of groceries near sell-by or use-by dates at Aldi for a discounted price.
Aldi said it had teamed up with the platform to help tackle food waste while also offering even lower prices to customers.
The magic bags, costing £3.30 each, will contain at least £10 worth of food, the supermarket said.
To get a magic bag, shoppers can download the free Too Good To Go app and search for their nearby Aldi store, before reserving a bag to collect from the store at an allotted time.
In addition, all of Aldi’s UK stores in Cumbria will continue to donate surplus food to local causes.
