Bradford Bulls provide opposition for both Whitehaven and Workington Town this weekend.
On Sunday the Bulls open their Betfred Championship season with a home game at Odsal against a Whitehaven side looking for their third successive win on the ground.
But 24 hours earlier, Bradford are sending a squad to play Workington as Town complete their build-up to the League One season which starts for them on February 18 at London Skolars.
Town coach Anthony Murray said: “We know Bradford start their Championship season the day after but they will still be sending a competitive squad.
“It will be made up of first team players not involved in the Whitehaven game plus their Scholarship, Academy and Reserves so ity will be a very good test for us.
“We are all looking forward to the game as it will be the first time we’ve played at Derwent Park in pre-season after games at Whitehaven and Barrow.
“The fans who travelled to Whitehaven and Barrow were superb and we are looking for them to give that kind of support for home matches. I’m sure they will.”
Town should have opened their League One programme next Sunday but West Wales dropped out leaving it a blank week-end.
