Two of Workington Comets young stars for 2023 will be taking part in a special event in Coventry on Saturday.

They are involved with the Young Lions who continue the build-up to the new season with the celebration hosted by long-time sponsors Nuneaton Speedway Supporters’ Club.

Sam McGurk and Luke Harrison will be attending along with the Youth manager Neil Vatcher.

McGurk is there as 500cc British Youth champion and Harrison has the same title from the 250cc series. Also there will be 2022 British Under-21 and Under-19 Champion Leon Flint as well as Cooper Rushen (125cc).

Key announcements for 2023 will be made on the night, including dates and venues for the British Youth Championship, the line-up for the British Under-21 Qualifier at Workington, and the riders who will be directly seeded to the Final at Glasgow in August.

The event will be compered by BSN’s Ian Brannan and starts at 7pm at the Brandon Club, Main Street, Brandon, Coventry. All supporters are welcome to attend.
