Carlisle, without a win all season, are heading for relegation with five games still left to play.
Tom Graham was ill and unlikely to have been fit enough to play on Saturday while a prop had to have an urgent MRI scan on his spine. A third front rower was struggling with an injury.

Carlisle’s only relative success was a draw against Keswick who are battling to avoid joining the city side in the drop.
