Workington Town coach Anthony Murray is forced into at least two changes from the side which won handsomely at London Skolars last Saturday.
Town host Ince Rose Bridge in the second round of the Challenge Cup on Sunday (ko 2pm) and both Blain Marwood and Max Moore will miss out.
Marwood picked-up a wrist injury against the Skolars and won’t be able to resume against the amateurs while Moore is unavailable.
“It will be an opportunity to see other lads early in the season after what was a very encouraging performance in London.
“I played a few games for Ince Rose Bridge at the end of my career and I watched a recording of their first round win at Wigan St. Patrick’s.
“I like to know a few things about the opposition but really I’m a coach who concentrates on my own team, making sure we prepare properly and know what we are doing.
“I was really happy with how we performed in the opening game, showing a lot of promise and really it was a perfect follow-up to what the lads had shown in pre-season. I just asked them to be more pro-active in attacking areas which they did really well,” said Murray.
Callem Rodgers’ strong burst down the left wing to score a decisive Ince Rose Bridge try was put forward as one of the tries of the week during the 30-20 win over their Wigan rivals.
The Bridge currently play in Division One of the National Conference so the win over St. Pat’s was a fine result as they are members of the Premier Division.
