Five referees have been given mid-season promotions by the Cumberland FA.
Cameron Sealby and Geoff Ellison are moving from Level 6 to 5 while Christian Ndubuisi, Leigh Musgrave and Adrian Asbridge go from Level 7 to 6.
Scott Taylor, Cumberland FA Referee Development Officer, said: “Our recent mid-season promotions reflect the hard work and commitment shown by these referees at grassroots level.
“It is our way of rewarding their on-field refereeing performances over the past few months in open age and youth football.
“I am extremely happy for them all as each and everyone of them has put a lot of effort into gaining their mid-season promotion, as the FA criteria states they must referee a minimum of 25 games and undertake various online CPD courses.
“They also have to pass an online FA Laws of the Game exam appropriate for their level. I’m hopeful one or two of them can now push on in the final third of this season and aim for further promotions.”
