Workington Reds and Carlisle City have arranged their Fred Conway County Cup semi-final for Tuesday, March 21 at Borough Park.

Reds beat Carlisle United last week to set-up the home semi-final clash against the Cup holders.

The other semi-final is being staged tonight with Whitehaven from the West Lancashure League hosting Penrith of the Northern League.

It has also been confirmed that Carlisle United’s Brunton Park will stage the final on a date still to be confirmed.

Meanwhile Reds have produced their latest stats on goal-scoring with four players in contention to take the club’s very own “Golden Boot.”

Scott Allison and Dav Symington currently lead the way with 12 apiece followed by Ruben Jerome on 10 and Lewis Reilly on 8.

Reds still have eight League games to play, with a possible maximum of 12 fixtures if the team makes the play-offs and gets through the semi-final, and if they reach the Fred Conway County Cup final.

Jerome is actually going for a hat-trick as he was joint top scorer in the aborted 20/21 season with Allison (both on 8) and last season led the way with 15 from Symington (14).

Allison, who is Reds record scorer, led the way in the aborted 19/20 campaign with 23 goals.

They are next in action on Saturday in the NPL West when they travel to City of Liverpool who got in a game last Friday on the Widnes all weather pitch and lost 3-0. Reds game at Colne was snowed-off.
