James Greenwood, who featured briefly for Barrow Raiders on loan from Salford Red Devils, has made another temporary move to the Championship.
Greenwood and Ryan Lannon have joined Swinton on an initial two-week loan from the Super League club.
Greenwood, 31, previously appeared for Barrow earlier this season. He featured alongside Salford team-mate Amir Borough in the defeat to York in the Championship at the LNER Community Stadium.
The prop forward has made more than career 150 appearances to date while utility forward Lannon, 27, has made 82 appearances for Salford.
Championship side Swinton shared on social media: “Swinton Lions can confirm the arrival of two Super League forwards on an initial two-week loan period.
“Both from Salford Red Devils, we welcome 31-years-old James Greenwood, and 27-years-old Ryan Lannon.
“James has also played nearly 100 games for Hull KR, whilst Ryan is a hugely experienced second-row or loose-forward for the Reds.
“We extend our thanks to Paul Rowley and Ian Blease for enabling the deal.”
The pair have been brought in to help cover injuries within Allan Coleman’s Swinton side.
The club recently confirmed a total of nine injuries to their squad of 27, leaving them thin on numbers when they played at Barrow last week in the Challenge Cup.
Wales international and prop forward Gavin Bennion is expected to miss four months of action. He has not featured since their opening round defeat to Newcastle Thunder.
The club aren’t expecting to have Italy international winger Richard Lepori, a former Whitehaven player, or centre Myles Harrop back until July due to respective injuries.
