Orient actually finished the game with ten men as four minutes after the goal Charlie Kelman was sent-off after picking up his second yellow card, but United couldn’t find a way through for an equaliser.
The first half had been a poor with neither side able to register a single effort on target but the second half did spring to life.

He did well to get round home keeper Lawrence Vigouroux but was too precise with his attempt to find the empty net and Omar Beckles got back to clear the danger.
Orient are now seven points clear of their rivals on a week-end when the top six all met. Northampton and Stevenage drew 1-1; Carlisle lost at Orient and on Friday night Stockport drew 1-1 with Salford.
