A man is set to appear in court after an incident in Kendal on Monday.
Thomas Footit, 44, of no fixed address, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
Police were called shortly after 9pm to a report that a man had been assaulted, sustaining injuries including a knife wound. He was taken to hospital and, although serious, his injuries are not thought to be life changing.
He is due to appear before Barrow Magistrates Court today, April 19.
