Cockermouth will take a full squad to Essex for their Papa John’s semi-final tie with Harlow tomorrow.
Head coach Jeff Clare says that 22 players will travel for the long trip south, although only 18 will be involved in the game through competition rules.
Clare admits that his biggest problem this week has been keeping the lid on everything as the Wasps prepare for their third game in the competition.
They have already beaten the Counties League champions of Durham/Northumberland and Yorkshire and now face the Counties League title winners of Essex.
Clare said: “We’ve had thirty at training and everything has gone well during the week and keeping the lid on everything has been my main problem. They are so motivated and desperate to win.
“We are leaving Cockermouth late afternoon to travel down and will be staying at an hotel about an hour from Harlow which is ideal.
“I haven’t any plans to train in the morning because I think that would be to our detriment. What we will do is have a team meeting when we will run through what we have been doing well and things where we can improve.
“We will also have a look at a couple of Harlow players that we have picked up on and how we are going to deal with them.
“We have a supporters coach full which is going down early Saturday morning so we are going to have plenty of backing.
“I really don’t think Harlow know what’s coming but they are going to find out.”
The final of the competition is being staged at Twickenham next Saturday and the entire Cockermouth club believes they can get there.
