Northside are closing in on another big trophy haul in the Workington and District Sunday League.

The quadruple winners of last season have already retained the League title and have two Cup finals to look forward over the next 10 days.

This Sunday they will contest the President’s Cup final against Salterbeck and a week later are in action in the League Cup against Sun Inn.

They powered their way into the President’s Cup final with a 6-0 win in mid-week against Dearham Commercial with goals from Tony Berwick (2), Kyle Graham, Jamie Bramley, Nathan Novak and Jamie Glover.

Dearham had better luck in the Premier Divisional Cup when they beat Maryport Athletic 6-1 on Sunday with goals from Steven Stoddart, Aaron Lister, Lewis Manchester, Atlee Skillen, Brett McMillan and Alfie Green.

In the other Divisional Cup Senhouse Street and Seaton Rangers drew 1-1 but the tie was settled on penalties. Seaton, who had scored in normal time through Ben Gregg, won 4-2 via the spot kicks.

Sun Inn and Sun Inn Athletic have had a couple of close contests this season and it was the same again when they met in the Divisional Cup. Sun Inn just came out on top 3-2.

Mally Graham (2) and John Heyes scored for the victors with Owen Brown and Mark Campbell netting for Athletic.
