Despite the best efforts of the Barrow groundstaff Cumbria’s second round of T20 matches was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
They were due to take on Northumberland in two group games but neither were able to be played because of the weather.
It means Cumbria, who should have played Staffordshire a fortnight ago, haven’t had the opportunity to face or bowl a single over in this competition.
Hopefully they will be able to make a start on Bank Holiday Monday when they travel to a double header against Shropshire at the Wem club.
The 12 man squad is: Michael Slack (Carlisle) captain; Sam Dutton (Furness), Freddie Fallows (Kendal), Ed Moulton (Chorley), Gary Pratt (Richmondshire), Finlay Richardson (Kendal), Matthew Sempilll (Cockermouth), Sam Sharp (Cockermouth),
Matthew Siddall (Cockermouth), Ben Walkden (Newton le Willows), Nathan Waterston (Furness), Nico Watt (Carlisle).
Two T20 matches are scheduled starting at 11am and 2.30pm
