Cumbria’s T20 campaign has still not started as the county suffered another rain-off.
They had travelled to Shropshire looking to make their first appearance in this year’s competition but again it proved impossible to start the two games.
Because of the wet conditions the two clashes were abandoned without a ball being bowled.
That’s the third time Cumbria have been left without being able to play ads the opening fixture at Staffordshire and Sunday’s home game with Northumberland at Barrow were abandoned.
There is one more group game to go, net Sunday’s home fixture against Cheshire at Netherfield before the focus moved to the 50-over competition in which Cumbria have reached the last two finals.
But they will go into that very unprepared, especially if their game at Netherfield this coming weekend falls victim to the weather.
