Carlisle United needed a late own goal to earn a 1-1 draw at Sutton and confirm fifth place in League Two.
It means they will travel to Bradford on Sunday for the first leg of the play-off semi-final and stage the second leg at Brunton Park on Saturday, May 20.
Salford host Stockport in the other semi-final on Saturday, May 13 with the return at Stockport on May 20.
Carlisle will go into the play-offs with the poorest end of season form which reads just two wins from their last 11 games.
Sutton had been on an even worse run having lost six straight games and they hadn’t won one in over two months.
They had taken the lead on 17 minutes when Kylian Kouassi side-footed the ball into the bottom corner after being found unmarked in the area by David Ajiboye.
Six minutes later Kristian Dennis had the final effort from a well-worked free-kick only to see his shot come back off the bar to Alfie McCalmont who volleyed just wide.
A mix-up between keeper Tomas Holy and defender Paul Huntington just before the break led to them colliding but Ajiboye lifted a good chance over the bar.
There was an opportunity for Carlisle after an hour when Amari Patrick fired a ball across the face of goal and a deflection just took it away from Ben Barclay who was well placed at the far post.
Six minutes from time Kouassi had a great chance to seal it for Sutton but headed over and within a minute Carlisle had levelled.
A flick-on from a long throw from Barclay was mis-read by Kizzi who headed it inside his own post for an own goal.
