Maryport and Hensingham have been showcasing youth rugby for their early starters with fixtures for Under-7s and Under-8s.
These are the kids that both clubs hope can retain their enthusiasm for the game and make senior players in the future.
It was Maryport’s turn to stage this latest set of fixtures and once again it proved to be a rewarding night with the youngsters enjoying their games, warmly supported by family and friends.
Cam and Braiden were singled out by the Hensingham coaching staff for the way they took their team forward.
As Maryport were short of numbers for the Under-7s they drafted in five members of the under-6s squad who didn’t look out of place throughout the match.

The star player was Coen who led the defensive line and scored some great tries.
A Maryport club spokesman said: “Overall we saw some great work from all the lads and we have said a massive thanks to Hensingham for making the journey through.”
